Alberto Massarotti earned his Master’s degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in 2006 at the University of Piemonte Orientale, with a thesis on sesquiterpene lactones and TAS2R receptors, supervised by Prof. Giovanni Appendino. In 2007, he collaborated with Prof. Roberto Pellicciari in Perugia on a 3DQSAR model of bile acids. He then joined Dr. Andrea Brancale's lab in Cardiff, focusing on de novo drug design. In 2009, he completed his PhD in Bioactive Substance Science. Currently, he is an associate professor at the same university, specializing in computational drug discovery, particularly for cancer treatment.
